Determined football player Jon Abbate wears the number 5 jersey as a tribute to his late 15-year-old brother Luke, who was killed in a car accident.
A high school student named Luke Abbate accepted a ride home from a teammate after practice in February 2006. However, the driver lost control of the car at a reckless speed of nearly 90 miles-per-hour, causing a fatal accident that resulted in Luke's death two days later, just before his 16th birthday.
