Aaron Charles Carter was born on December 7, 1987, in Tampa, Florida, to Jane Elizabeth (Spaulding) and Robert Gene Carter. He was the younger brother of Nick Carter, a renowned member of the Backstreet Boys, and had three sisters.
As a child prodigy, Aaron began his music career at the tender age of seven, serving as the lead singer for the band "Dead End" for two years. His first solo appearance took place when he was just nine years old, opening for the Backstreet Boys in Berlin, Germany in March 1997. This remarkable performance was followed by a record contract, and in the fall of 1997, he released his debut single, "Crush On You".
Aaron's first full-length album, self-titled "Aaron Carter", was released on December 1, 1997, achieving gold status in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada, and Germany. The album was later released in the United States on June 16, 1998. In May 1998, he released the EP "Let The Music Heal Your Soul", a charity project that featured vocals from Aaron, the Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, the Moffatts, and other renowned artists.
His subsequent album, "Aaron's Party", was released on September 26, 2000, under the Jive Label and achieved triple-platinum certification. At the tender age of 13, Aaron recorded his album "Oh, Aaron", which featured his first duet recording with his brother Nick. The album was accompanied by a video/DVD of the same name, released on March 26, 2002, which included footage of his 2001 concert in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as well as music videos and interviews.
Play Along Toys also created an Aaron Carter action figure in conjunction with the album's release. Aaron's next album, "Another Earthquake", was released on September 3, 2002, during his 2002 "Rock, Rap, and Retro" tour. The album featured the patriotic-themed single "America A O" and the ballad "Do You Remember".
Most Requested Hits was released on November 3, 2003, and included tracks from his last three albums, as well as a new single, "One Better". Aaron was not only a talented musician but also an accomplished actor, with TV appearances including Lizzie McGuire, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and 7th Heaven. His first lead role in a feature film was in Popstar, released in 2005.
