Aaron Neville, a native of New Orleans, embarked on a musical journey by singing with a group called The Hawkettes, alongside his brother Art Neville. Throughout his career, he achieved minor regional hits, but it wasn't until 1966 that he scored a major breakthrough with the tender ballad "Tell It Like It Is". Unfortunately, due to various factors, including the collapse of his record label, he was unable to fully capitalize on the song's success.
In 1978, Aaron, along with his brothers Art, Cyril Neville, and Charles Neville, came together to form what would eventually become known as The Neville Brothers, while also continuing to pursue a solo career. Fast forward to 1989, he experienced a significant resurgence in popularity with the chart-topping duet "Don't Know Much" alongside Linda Ronstadt.
In recent years, Aaron Neville has shifted his focus towards issuing gospel albums, showcasing his soulful voice and dedication to his craft.
