Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla is a renowned Indian filmmaker, celebrated for his collaborative efforts with his brother Mastan Alibhai Burmawalla, collectively known as the esteemed Abbas-Mustan duo. Their impressive body of work is characterized by the direction of action-packed, suspenseful, and thrilling films that have captivated audiences worldwide.
Prior to embarking on his directorial journey, Burmawalla started his career in the Gujarati film industry, working alongside his brother Mastan Alibhai Burmawalla as assistant directors. This valuable experience ultimately led to their first break, allowing them to direct their maiden film.
Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla's directorial debut in Hindi was the 1990 film Agneekaal, co-directed with his brother. Since then, he has co-directed an impressive 14 Hindi films, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the Indian film industry.
Throughout his illustrious career, Burmawalla has been associated with the creation of numerous superhit movies, including Khiladi (1992),Baazigar (1993),Baadshah (1999),Ajnabee (2001),Aitraaz (2004),and Race (2008),to name a few.
