Adarsh Gourav Bhagavatula was born on July 8, 1994, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, which was then a part of Bihar. This talented individual is a multifaceted personality who has made a name for himself in both Hollywood and Bollywood as an actor, singer, and songwriter.
During his formative years, Gourav spent a significant amount of time in Mumbai, where he pursued higher education and honed his skills. He graduated from Narsee Monjee with a Bachelor's degree and also attended The Drama School in Mumbai, where he refined his acting abilities.
Classically trained in Hindustani Music for over nine years, Gourav has been the frontman for two progressive metal bands, Steepsky and Oak Island. Oak Island, in particular, has gained recognition for their EP titled Aliens Cant Jump, which was featured on MTV Indies - Never Hide Sounds. Additionally, Gourav has had the opportunity to work with renowned music legends like Illayaraja and Sukhwinder Singh as a playback singer for two Bollywood movies, Black and White and Chal Chalein.
Gourav's acting career spans over a decade, during which he has been part of more than 50 TV and digital ad campaigns. He has worked with several prominent brands, including Airtel, Cadbury, Dominos, Hotstar, and Nescafe. His first role was in Karan Johar's My Name is Khan (2010),starring Shah Rukh Khan, and he has since appeared in various projects, such as Anurag Kashyap's Madly, Rukh alongside Manoj Bajpayee, and Sridevi's Mom (2017).
Gourav has recently crossed over into Hollywood with his latest project, The White Tiger (2021),a Netflix Global production where he plays the titular character, Balram Halwai. He has also been part of popular web-series such as Laila, Die Trying, and Hostel Daze.
