Born in Canada to a musical family, Adrian's early life was filled with music. His father, a French horn player, worked with the Wuppertal Sinfonieorchester in Germany, exposing Adrian to symphonic and operatic music from a young age. This exposure sparked a deep appreciation for music's narrative power, and he began to learn the art of storytelling through music. As a child, he would often dress up in homemade costumes, acting out scenes from Holst's The Planets, demonstrating his early passion for music and storytelling.
Adrian's studies in fine art and classical guitar further honed his skills, laying the groundwork for his future as a composer. He has shared the stage with some of the industry's most esteemed composers, including Oscar winners Mychael Danna, Hans Zimmer, Laura Karpman, and Nathalie Holt, at renowned festivals such as TIFF, Vancouver International, and Hot Docs. He has also developed and led talks for The Canadian Film Center and The Directors Guild of Canada.
In addition to his work as a composer, Adrian is the Chair of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada. He has also produced and hosted three seasons of The Screen Composer's Studio podcast, further solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the industry.
