Alain Moussi is an internationally renowned action star, born on March 29, 1981, in the vibrant city of Libreville, Gabon, to a Lebanese father, Jean Moussi, and a French-Canadian mother, Rita Moussi. This multitalented individual's martial arts training began under the guidance of the esteemed Canadian martial arts legend, John Therien, in the art of jujutsu. Furthermore, Moussi also honed his skills in kickboxing under the tutelage of the legendary kickboxing champion, Jean-Yves Theriault.
As his martial arts training progressed, Moussi had the privilege of training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under the renowned Carlos Machado, ultimately earning his black belt in the art. With his impressive martial arts background, Moussi transitioned into the world of stunt work, crediting Jean Frenette, a former world martial arts champion turned stunt coordinator, for giving him his start in the industry.
Moussi's early career as a stuntman saw him doubling for prominent actors such as Henry Cavill in the film Immortals, Travis Fimmel in Warcraft, Hugh Jackman in X-Men: Apocalypse, and Jai Courtney in Suicide Squad. In 2014, Moussi's breakthrough role as Kurt Sloane in the reboot of the 1989 film Kickboxer, alongside the iconic Jean-Claude Van Damme, marked a significant milestone in his career.
In Kickboxer: Vengeance, Moussi brought Kurt Sloane to life, a young martial artist driven by the desire to avenge his brother's death by refining his skills. Van Damme himself replaced Tony Jaa as Kurt's teacher, now named Master Durand. Although the film received mixed reviews, the confidence it instilled in Moussi led to two sequels, Kickboxer: Retaliation, released in 2017, and Kickboxer: Syndicate, which began production in February 2017. In addition to reprising his role as Kurt Sloane, Moussi and his longtime friend, Jean-Francois LaChappelle, served as fight choreographers for Retaliation.
Beyond his work in the Kickboxer franchise, Moussi also played the role of Charlie Nash in the web series sequel Street Fighter: Resurrection, further solidifying his status as an action star.
