Born in the charming city of Athens, Georgia, as the middle child among three sons to Rhonwyn and Larry Kendrick. Growing up in Smyrna, Georgia, he developed a strong foundation, which would later influence his future endeavors. Upon graduating from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's degree in Communications, he embarked on a career as a Christian DJ for two prominent radio stations.
As his passion for ministry grew, he attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was ordained into the ministry. Subsequently, he served as a minister to college students in Marietta, Georgia for four years, honing his skills and deepening his faith.
After tying the knot with his wife Christina, they relocated to Albany, Georgia, where he took on the role of Associate Pastor of Media at Sherwood Baptist Church. It was during this period that he founded Sherwood Pictures, and his creative pursuits expanded to include acting, writing, producing, and directing feature films.
Notable among his film credits is the 2015 blockbuster "War Room," which reached #1 at the box office, showcasing his multifaceted talents. Furthermore, he co-authored seven novels and "The Love Dare," which achieved #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Later, he co-wrote the New York Times bestsellers "The Resolution for Men" and "The Battle Plan for Prayer".
Today, Alex and Christina Kendrick are proud parents of six children, and their love and dedication to their family, faith, and creative pursuits continue to inspire and influence countless lives.
