Classically trained in the performing arts, Alex Knight graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre, marking the beginning of a successful 20-year career in directing, teaching, and performing improvisational comedy across the globe. After making a name for himself within the Los Angeles improv community, Alex is now the artistic director of The Box Improv Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As a comedian, Alex can be seen improvising in the popular television show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, as well as the now-defunct but still entertaining Enter the Dojo on YouTube. Despite his impressive comedic skills, Alex continues to secure roles as a serious actor, appearing in notable productions such as Preacher, Big Sky, and Narcos Mexico, where he plays complex characters. On the legitimate stage, Alex has had the opportunity to perform original, devised theater in various countries around the world, including Poland, Canada, Uganda, Ukraine, Colombia, Scotland, and Serbia.
In addition to his accomplishments in the entertainment industry, Alex Knight is a talented professional painter, specializing in watercolors, and an amateur volleyball player. He is also an all-around nice human, making a positive impact on those around him.
