Alex's life journey began in Acapulco, Mexico, where he took his first breath, but his early years were marked by a significant move to Texas when he was just two years old. This relocation would be the first of many, as he would later settle in Kentucky for a period of seven years, where he would meet the love of his life.
During his time in Kentucky, Alex would experience a unique blend of cultures, one that would later become a staple of his comedy. He would temporarily leave Kentucky's rolling hills to venture to the bright lights of Hollywood, but ultimately returned to his roots, settling back down in Kentucky with his wife and two children.
Alex's comedy is a masterful blend of his Hispanic heritage and his wife's "hillbilly" upbringing, resulting in a hilarious mix of topics that range from Mexican-American culture and race relations, to family, friends, and everyday life with his loved ones. He often affectionately refers to his two children as his "little hick-spanics," a term that reflects their mother's Kentucky roots.
Alex's impressive career has been marked by numerous accolades, including his first American Latin Media Arts Award (ALMA) in 2008 for his comedy special "Alex Reymundo Hick-Spanic, Live in Albuquerque". This one-hour Comedy Central special earned him the prestigious "Outstanding Comedy Special for 2008" award, a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft.
