Alexandra Chun, a talented actress and filmmaker of Korean ancestry, has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Born Bok Yun Chun, she immigrated to the United States at the tender age of seven, and her early years were marked by a sense of adventure and exploration.
As she grew older, Alexandra's academic pursuits took her to Maryland, where she attended a prestigious boarding school. Her academic achievements earned her a spot at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she studied Western Philosophy.
Initially, Alexandra had her heart set on becoming a medical doctor, but her life took a dramatic turn when she entered into a relationship with Ottmar Liebert during her senior year. This chance encounter sparked a passion for the performing arts, and she soon found herself pursuing a career in film.
With her sights set on Los Angeles, Alexandra landed a regular role on the popular soap opera, Another World (1964). The experience proved to be a valuable stepping stone, and she soon found herself cast in numerous film and television shows.
After her contract with the soap opera came to an end, Alexandra returned to Los Angeles, where she continued to hone her craft and take on a variety of roles. Her dedication and perseverance ultimately led her to co-found and co-artistic direct the multicultural theatre company, Lodestone Theatre Ensemble, alongside three other theatre professionals in 1999.
In the fall of 2004, Alexandra took on a new challenge, serving as writer, director, and producer for a website featuring short films that take place in hotel rooms. This innovative project showcased her versatility and creative range, solidifying her position as a talented and innovative filmmaker.
Throughout her career, Alexandra has consistently demonstrated a willingness to take risks and push boundaries, and her dedication to her craft has earned her a reputation as a talented and respected figure in the entertainment industry.
