A remarkable individual, whose life took a fascinating turn from his early days as a boy soprano in his school's pierrot troupe, where he honed his vocal talents, to his subsequent career as an auctioneer in the bustling Petticoat Lane Market in London.
As the Second World War broke out, he made the courageous decision to join the Royal Air Force, where he spent five illustrious years, rising through the ranks to become a distinguished flight sergeant. During his time in Italy, he had the opportunity to have his voice professionally evaluated at the renowned Italian Conservatoire.
After being demobilized, he embarked on a journey to find his place in the world of entertainment, visiting various theatrical agents and eventually auditioning at the iconic Windmill Theatre in Piccadilly, where he was offered a six-week trial that surprisingly lasted nearly two years.
It was in 1952 that he met the love of his life, Paddie O'Neil, who was also a performer in a show they were both part of. They tied the knot and went on to have a beautiful daughter named Danielle, bringing joy and love into their lives.
