Noted author and documentarian, Mr. Rucker, embarked on a distinguished academic journey, first earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1967. He subsequently pursued advanced studies, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in American Culture from the University of Michigan in 1969. Over a decade later, Mr. Rucker further expanded his intellectual horizons by earning a second Master of Arts degree in Communications from Stanford University in 1977.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mr. Rucker co-founded the innovative video documentary group TVTV, which undoubtedly showcased his creative and entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout his illustrious career, he has written an impressive eleven books, encompassing a range of genres, including humor and nonfiction. Notably, he has penned three books centered around the critically acclaimed television series, The Sopranos, as well as a poignant memoir, The Best Seat In The House: How I Woke Up One Tuesday & Was Paralyzed For Life, which chronicles his personal struggle with transverse myelitis, a condition that rendered him paralyzed at the age of 50. Furthermore, Mr. Rucker has collaborated on books with a diverse range of notable individuals, including comedian and actor Martin Mull, Canadian comedian and actor Tom Green, and country music star Gretchen Wilson.
