Andray's childhood in Chicago was marked by his exceptional talent for mimicry, effortlessly impersonating beloved celebrities and cartoon characters from a young age. As the youngest of five brothers, he was encouraged to hone his skills, which would later serve as a foundation for his future endeavors.
After graduating from high school, Andray made the bold decision to join the U.S. Marines, forgoing the traditional college route. His time in the Marines was a defining period in his life, instilling in him the discipline and resilience that would benefit him in his future pursuits.
Following his stint in the Marines, Andray relocated to San Diego, where he enrolled in college and took on two part-time jobs to support himself. Despite the demands of his busy schedule, he remained steadfast in his dream of becoming an actor.
Years later, Andray made the bold move to Los Angeles, driven by his unwavering passion for the craft. His big break came when he managed to sneak into an audition while on a studio tour, landing his first acting job.
Andray's early life was filled with inspiration, as he grew up surrounded by the entertainment industry. He lived directly across the street from comedian and actor Carl Wright, and behind the home of comedian, actor, and writer Lance Crouther. The two boys even attended Whistler elementary school together, fostering a lifelong friendship and shared creative spark.
