Andrew Fleming is a highly accomplished director and screenwriter, renowned for his exceptional work in the entertainment industry. Most recently, he made a significant impact by executive producing and directing the pilot episode of the Emmy-nominated Netflix series, Emily in Paris, a collaboration with the talented Darren Star. Furthermore, Fleming has also directed the pilot for Star's new series Uncoupled, starring the versatile Neil Patrick Harris.
In addition to his impressive television work, Fleming has also directed the pilot and served as Executive Producer for Netflix's recent hit series Insatiable. His feature film credits include Ideal Home, starring the talented Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan, which he wrote and directed in 2018.
Prior to his success in television and film, Fleming directed and co-wrote three notable films: Hamlet 2, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival; the political comedy Dick, a satire about the Nixon Watergate scandal, starring a talented cast including Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Williams, and Will Ferrell; and The Craft, starring Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True.
Fleming also served as both director and sole screenwriter for the independent feature Threesome, which premiered at Sundance. His other notable film credits include Nancy Drew, starring the talented Emma Roberts, and The In-Laws, teaming Michael Douglas with Albert Brooks.
Fleming's passion for filmmaking led him to study at New York University's film school, where his award-winning student film, P.P.T, earned him a fellowship at Warner Brothers upon graduation. His filmmaking debut, the psychological thriller Bad Dreams, which he co-wrote and directed, was a significant collaboration with producer Gale Ann Hurd of Terminator, Aliens, and Walking Dead fame.
Throughout his career, Fleming has directed television pilots for various shows, including Grosse Pointe, Difficult People, Odd Mom Out, Bad Judge, and Uncoupled. He has also directed episodes for popular television series such as Arrested Development, New Girl, Red Oaks, Lady Dynamite, Younger, and Dolly Parton's Heartstrings, among others.
