Andrew was born and raised in Berkeley, California, where his mother, Sharon Mann, a concert pianist and professor at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and his father, Felix, a clinical psychologist, instilled in him a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
Growing up in California, Andrew was an avid and competitive skier and a dedicated cellist, but at the age of 15, he discovered his true passion for acting by joining the Young Conservatory at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
Andrew then went on to attend Tufts University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude as a double major in Political Science and Theater, and later trained in London at The Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art under a Fulbright Scholarship.
He began his professional career by touring for two years in the National Tour of "Biloxi Blues" by Neil Simon, and subsequently became a member of Circle Rep. company in New York, performing in numerous productions at The New Group, Circle Rep, and other esteemed theaters.
Regionally, Andrew worked at The Alliance, ACT, The Arena, The Long Wharf, and many other prominent theaters, taking on a wide range of roles, including Mozart in "Amadeus" and Lenny in "The Homecoming".
In addition to his work on stage, Andrew founded and served as Artistic Director of The Cape Cod Theatre Project, a summer residency dedicated to new play development, which has since developed scores of plays that have gone on to Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regionally, and around the world.
Recently, Andrew was part of the original cast of "The Band's Visit", which won 10 Tony Awards on Broadway, and has also made a name for himself in television, with recurring roles on shows such as "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel", "Billions", "Instinct", "House of Cards", and "City on A Hill".
Andrew's film credits include being part of the cast of "Armageddon Time", directed by James Grey, with Anthony Hopkins and Anne Hathaway, and he is set to appear in three upcoming films: "Untitled Cabrini Film" with John Lithgow and David Morse, "Space Oddity" with Kevin Bacon, and "Peas and Carrots", as well as some exciting episodic television projects.
Andrew resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Zohar Tirosh-Polk, and their two children, Mia and Jonathan.
