Andy Powers is a classically trained actor with roots in El Paso, Texas. He earned his degree from the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Following his graduation, Powers spent four years honing his craft in Off Broadway Theatre, collaborating with renowned companies such as the Barrow Group Theatre, The Cherry Lane Alternative, Second Stage, and The Hypothetical Theatre Company. During this time, he worked closely with emerging playwrights, helping to develop new and innovative works.
Powers' impressive television credits include his breakout role as Franklin Winthrop, a complex and multifaceted character on HBO's critically acclaimed series "OZ". He has also starred alongside Matt Frewer and Dakota Fanning in Syfy's adaptation of Stephen Spielberg's "TAKEN". His filmography boasts a diverse range of projects, including "Sweets" directed by R.E. Rogers, "In Her Shoes" directed by Curtis Hansen, and "Northeast" directed by Gregory Kohn. In addition to his work in film and television, Powers has appeared in numerous episodic series and independent films.
