Andy T. Tran's life story began in Houston, Texas, where he was born and raised, his artistic inclinations stemming from his father's remarkable talent for art and music.
Following his graduation from I.H. Kempner High School in 2002, Andy embarked on a journey to study electrical and computer engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, only to lose interest in the field and sneak into film and theatre classes to nurture his passion for acting and storytelling.
Throughout his college years, Andy wrote, acted, and directed award-winning comedy sketches in numerous college talent shows, earning audience acclaim and solidifying his determination to pursue a career in entertainment.
This initial success led Andy to his first paid gig as a sketch comedy player for a local comedy troupe in 2008, and subsequently, he began transitioning into TV and film, making his debut in an episode of NBC's Chase in 2010.
In the latter part of 2011, Andy made the bold move to Los Angeles, California, where he landed subsequent TV roles in NCIS Los Angeles, Bones, The Last Ship, and Reckless, marking significant milestones in his blossoming acting career.
