Anthony Michael Lopez, a talented American actor, was born in Los Angeles, California, to a Peruvian mother and a Mexican father. His upbringing in a culturally rich environment undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping his artistic inclinations.
As a high school student, Lopez attended a prestigious Performing Arts Magnet High School, where he delved into the world of acting, voice, and dance. This exposure sparked a deep passion for stage acting and musical theater within him. His academic achievements did not go unnoticed, as he was nominated and selected to participate in the esteemed Georgia's Governor's Honors Program (Acting Major/Dance Minor).
During his time at the Governor's Honors Program, Lopez was part of a cohort of 12 exceptional students who focused on intensive studies in the performing arts for six weeks at the Valdosta State University Campus. This experience undoubtedly honed his skills and prepared him for the challenges that lay ahead.
Following his stint at the Governor's Honors Program, Lopez pursued further training at Wright State University's Professional Actor Training Program, where he immersed himself in a conservatory-style environment. However, he eventually decided to leave the program and return to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, to pursue a career in television and film.
Since then, Lopez has appeared in a range of notable projects, including Vh1's Single Ladies (2011),USA Network's Satisfaction (Co-Star/Recurring) as Patrick, A Christmas Blessing (2013),Sleepless (2017),and most recently, he played the role of Oscar on AMC's The Walking Dead (2016).
