Antonio David Lyons, a multifaceted individual, was born on December 20th in Hollywood, Florida, USA. As an actor and producer, he has made a mark in the entertainment industry with his notable roles in films such as The Book of Negroes (2015),American History X (1998),Hotel Rwanda (2004),and The Sum of All Fears (2002).
Lyons' artistic journey transcends geographical boundaries, with one foot firmly planted in both South Africa and the USA. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Theatre from the City University of New York (CUNY) and has successfully maintained a thriving career as a professional artist while pursuing his passion for activism and scholarly pursuits.
Beyond his acting and producing career, Lyons has also explored his creative side as a poet and lyricist. He has released two solo projects, Human Jewels in 2007 and We Dance We Pray in 2011. Additionally, he is the author of three plays: Celebration, Beautiful Struggle, and We Are Here.

His most notable project, We Are Here (WAH),has evolved into a social activism initiative that has implemented programming in South Africa, New York, Detroit, and Ann Arbor. The project aims to create an environment where the arts can positively impact social conditions, attitudes, perceptions, and structures amongst men and boys.
