North Vancouver, British Columbia native April Telek is a renowned film and television actress who has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. Born and raised in the same city, April's passion for acting was evident from a young age, with her first modeling gig at just ten years old. She quickly discovered her love for the camera and went on to become a child actor and international model.
As she grew older, April was enrolled in a "Super Achievers" program designed specifically for kids with professional careers in school. After graduation, she decided to dedicate herself full-time to her craft, and has been working tirelessly ever since.
April's impressive career has led her to numerous projects over the years. She has worked alongside some of Hollywood's top A-List talent in feature films such as Mr. Troop Mom, Gray Matters, and White Noise. Her television credits include a recurring role as "Nell" on AMC's Hell on Wheels and co-starring in CTV's Canadian hit show, Robson Arms.
Some of April's most notable roles include A&E's Emmy Award-winning MOW, Flight 93, where she played "Liz Glyk", the wife of one of the heroes/passengers on the ill-fated United Flight 93. She has also appeared in Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Mork & Mindy and Amazon Falls, for which she won several awards.
When she's not acting, April is a devoted mother and philanthropist. She served as a director on the board for the Lions Gate Hospice Society for three years, and was involved in the capital campaign to raise funds for the first free-standing hospice on the North Shore. April is also involved with her church's outreach program for the Downtown Eastside and supports several charities, including The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Operation Smile, and Canuck Place.
April resides on the North Shore with her husband, Jamie Campbell, and daughter, Ava Marie, in their recently designed and renovated home.
