Beau Mirchoff was born on a Friday, specifically January 13th, 1989, in Seattle, Washington. Just two days later, he relocated to his family's home in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, situated on Vancouver Island. His father, Bill, hails from California and is a skilled apodiatrist, while his mother, Kelley, is a full-time homemaker from Washington State.
As a young teenager, Beau began his acting training at the age of 13 in Vancouver, British Columbia. This required a daily routine of taking a two-hour ferry-boat journey from Vancouver Island to the mainland of British Columbia, followed by a one-hour bus ride into the city. He persisted with this regimen until he made the move to Los Angeles in February 2009, where he continued his training at the Michael Woolson Studio, which remains his current training ground.
In 2009, Beau landed the role of Danny Bolen on ABC's popular television series Desperate Housewives. The following year, he secured the part of Matty Mckibben on MTV's hit show Awkward, earning a Teen Choice Award in 2012 for his portrayal. During the show's hiatuses, Mirchoff focused on his theatrical pursuits, taking on the role of Treat in a production of Lyle Kessler's Orphans at the Hudson Theatre in 2012, and playing Kent in Neil Labute's Reason's to be Pretty at the MW Theatre in 2013.
In addition to his television work, Mirchoff has appeared in several notable films, including Scary Movie 4, The Grudge 3, I am Number 4, and Poker Night, alongside a talented cast featuring Ron Perlman, Giancarlo Esposito, Titus Welliver, and Ron Eldard.
