Ben Davies' journey in the world of acting began long before he took his first steps. In fact, he made his national TV and print ad campaign debut while still in diapers. As the son of a successful model of Irish descent and an All American athlete of Welsh and Wessex heritage, Ben was blessed with a unique combination of striking physical features and a strong athletic build.
Ranked as the No. 1 high school decathlete in the nation by Track & Field News, Ben went on to join the University of Florida's Collegiate Track and Field team, driven by his ambition to win Olympic gold. However, a series of injuries and a complex, high-risk surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder left him sidelined, questioning whether he would ever return to competition and wondering if his athletic scholarship would be renewed.
It was during this low point that Ben received a call to audition for Sherwood Pictures' highly anticipated film, Courageous. He landed the co-starring role of David Thomson and went on to win the "Light In Hollywood Award" for his performance.
Ben transitioned from athletics to full-time acting, securing the lead role in twenty feature films and earning awards and nominations for "Best Male Actor" in five film festivals. He has a particular fondness for action roles that require great athletic ability, but also enjoys playing real-life characters, such as his co-starring role as Nathan Ballard in I'm Not Ashamed, the true story of Rachel Scott at Columbine High School.
In addition to his acting and athletic pursuits, Ben is also an award-winning writer, having won the inspirational screenplay award at the Nashville Film Festival in 2014 for his film, Kairos. He has also received recognition as a 2nd Runner-up for Best Screenplay at ICFF and a Best Screenplay Nominee. Furthermore, Ben is a popular public speaker, TV host, and media contributor, with over 2.5 million views of his reports.
