Ben Miller's biography:
Ben Miller met Alexander Armstrong in 1992 while studying at Cambridge University. Instead of finishing his PhD in physics, Ben decided to pursue a career in comedy. He started playing at the Comedy Club Footlights, Cambridge, and after four years of touring, the pair appeared on "Saturday Night" as the Euro-Rock duo "Strijka."
The duo was nominated for the Perrier Award in 1996 and received their first commissioned series, "Armstrong and Miller," in 1997. They went on to create three more series, which were broadcast on Channel Four and Paramount Channel.
Ben's success in "Armstrong and Miller" gave him a platform to work on other projects. He appeared in television films such as "Passion Killers" and "The Blind Date," and also starred in films like "The Parole Officer" and "There's Only One Jimmy Grimble."
Ben has also provided the voice of ITV's Digital Monkey and has appeared in various advertisements. He has continued his successful solo and comedy career, appearing in films like "Johnny English" and "The Prince and Me."
Ben's breakthrough came in 2005 with the BBC series "The Worst Week of My Life," which was so successful that a second series was commissioned. He has also worked on various other projects, including a pilot comedy show with Alexander Armstrong, which led to the return of "The Armstrong and Miller Show" in 2007.
The duo was awarded a BAFTA for best comedy program in 2010 and went on to tour the UK again. Ben has also directed a film, "Huge," and has appeared in the BBC series "Death in Paradise." His first book, "It's Not Rocket Science," is set to be released in summer 2012.
