Born on a warm summer day, August 27th, 1980, Bernardo Badillo entered the world in the vibrant city of Anaheim, California, a place that would shape his early years and lay the groundwork for his future accomplishments. His childhood was marked by a series of private Catholic schools scattered throughout the Southern California area, where he received a solid foundation in education, building a strong base for his future endeavors. As he progressed through his academic journey, Bernardo's exceptional academic record earned him a spot at the prestigious Mater Dei High School, a renowned institution that would provide him with the necessary tools to excel in his chosen field. Upon graduating from this esteemed institution, Bernardo's hard work and dedication paid off as he was accepted into the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),a prestigious institution that would offer him the opportunity to study under the guidance of renowned professionals, including Moctesuma Esparza, Jose Luis Valenzuela, and Jacque Heim, individuals who would play a significant role in shaping his artistic talents and providing him with the necessary skills to succeed in the competitive world of theater.
Bernardo's academic journey at UCLA allowed him to refine his acting abilities, ultimately culminating in the attainment of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater with a concentration on acting.
Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Bernardo made a bold decision to relocate to Manhattan, New York, where he pursued a three-year graduate program at the esteemed Actors Studio Drama School.
Throughout his time at the Actors Studio Drama School, Bernardo had the privilege of being mentored by a team of esteemed instructors, including the accomplished Ron Leibman, the talented Barbara Poitier, and the highly respected Susan Aston, thereby further developing his acting skills.
In addition to his studies, Bernardo also took the opportunity to explore the world of dance by enrolling in classes at the renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Studio.
After the completion of his Master of Fine Arts degree, Bernardo made the decision to return to his hometown of Southern California, where he set his sights on a career in the captivating world of film and television. It was only a mere seven days after his return that Bernardo landed a significant role in the highly acclaimed film "Walkout", expertly directed by the renowned Edward James Olmos, thus marking the beginning of a long and successful career in the entertainment industry.
