Born on August 27th, 1980, Bernardo Badillo grew up in the vibrant city of Anaheim, California. His educational journey began at various private Catholic schools in the Southern California area, laying the foundation for his future pursuits. Upon graduating from Mater Dei High School, he received acceptance into the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where he pursued a degree in theater with a focus on acting.
During his time at UCLA, Bernardo had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned professionals such as Moctesuma Esparza, Jose Luis Valenzuela, and Jacque Heim. This invaluable experience not only honed his craft but also instilled in him a deep understanding of the performing arts.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater, Bernardo relocated to Manhattan, New York, to embark on a three-year graduate program at the Actors Studio Drama School. This prestigious institution provided him with the opportunity to train under the tutelage of esteemed instructors such as Ron Leibman, Barbara Poitier, and Susan Aston.
As part of his graduate program, Bernardo also had the chance to study dance at the renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Studio. This well-rounded education not only refined his acting skills but also expanded his knowledge of various dance styles.
With his Master of Fine Arts degree in hand, Bernardo returned to his hometown of Southern California, determined to pursue a career in film and television. Only a week after his relocation, he landed a role in the critically acclaimed film "Walkout," directed by the talented Edward James Olmos. Since then, Bernardo has worked consistently in film, television, commercials, and print, solidifying his position as a talented and versatile performer.
