Bert Tyler-Moore was born on July 7, 1963, and is a renowned British TV comedy writer. Alongside his writing partner, George Jeffrie, he created and wrote the hit Channel 4 series Star Stories, Pete versus Life, and The Windsors, which has been ongoing since 2016.
After graduating from the University of Bath in 1984, Tyler-Moore pursued a career in comedy, initially writing and performing with the sketch trio On the Grapevine before transitioning to stand-up comedy on the alternative circuit. Between 1995 and 1996, he co-presented the BBC2 magazine show Gaytime TV.
Tyler-Moore began collaborating with George Jeffrie in 1997, and together they wrote for various sketch shows, including Armstrong and Miller, Big Train, and Harry Enfield's Brand Spanking New Show. They then went on to create their own shows for Channel Four, as well as contributing episodes to BBC sitcoms All About Me, My Family, and In with the Flynns.
Sadly, George Jeffrie passed away suddenly in September 2020. Tyler-Moore and Jeffrie's final joint project was the stage version of The Windsors – The Windsors Endgame – which ran at the Prince of Wales theatre in London for ten weeks in 2021. Since then, Tyler-Moore has written for the 2020 relaunch of Spitting Image.
