Bertie Stephens spent his formative years in Ascot, Berkshire, where he attended Hall Grove School before making the transition to Bradfield College at the tender age of 13. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, as he would soon embark on an adventure that would take him across the Atlantic to Woodinville, Washington, situated just north of Seattle. At the age of 15, Bertie completed his standard education at Woodinville High School, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.
Fast-forward to 2005, Bertie returned to his roots in Fleet, Hampshire, at the age of 18, marking a significant milestone in his life. Four years later, in 2007, Stephens achieved a remarkable feat, graduating from London South Bank University with a first-class honors degree in film production at the age of 20.
Undeterred by his youth, Bertie directed and produced his first feature film, Roanoke: The Lost Colony, at the age of 20. This low-budget independent production was based on the true story of the lost colony of Roanoke Island in 1587. The film premiered at the prestigious Ritzy Picturehouse on June 25th, 2007, and later made its way to Roanoke Island the following week. Bertie's cinematic masterpiece was featured on ITV's flagship news program "London Tonight," a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft.
