Bertrand E. Boyd II, a multifaceted creative force, hails from the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. As a young adolescent, he was initially drawn to the art of writing, but it wasn't until the age of 17 that he discovered his true passion for the performance aspect of poetry and spoken word.
Inspired by a live performance by the renowned poet Will "Da Real One" Bell, Boyd embarked on a journey into the literary world, with Bell serving as his mentor. This marked the beginning of a remarkable trajectory, as Boyd's inaugural stage appearance took place that very same year at the esteemed North Miami Literary Café'.
In a nod to his youthful energy and quiet demeanor offstage, Boyd performed under the moniker "Da Youngsta", paying tribute to his formative years.
