In the early 1980s, Bill and his wife, Mary Linda Phillips, made the transcontinental move from New York City to Los Angeles, where they went on to amass an extensive list of credits in their respective fields. Together, they raised two sons, Henry Phillips, a comedian and musician, and Bill Phillips.
