Blake Ellender Lively was born Blake Ellender Brown on August 25, 1987, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, to Elaine Lively and Ernie Lively, a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. Her brother, Eric Lively, is also an accomplished actor, while her half-siblings, Lori Lively, Robyn Lively, and Jason Lively, have also made a name for themselves in the acting world. It was only natural that Blake would follow in her parents' and siblings' footsteps, and she did so with ease.
Blake's early foray into the world of acting began with a role in the musical film Sandman (1998),directed by her father. Although this was her first major role, it was merely a precursor to the bigger things to come. A few years later, Blake landed the co-starring role of Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005),a film that would catapult her to stardom.
Interestingly, Blake's casting in the film was remarkably effortless. She reportedly didn't even audition for the role, simply walking into the audition room and leaving behind a photo of herself. It was clear that she was the perfect fit for the part, and her natural charm and talent shone through. Following the film's release, Blake returned to high school to complete her senior year, where she balanced her busy schedule by serving as class president, being a cheerleader, and performing with the choir.
