Born and raised in the charming town of Dunkirk, New York, which is situated in the picturesque region near Buffalo. Bob Rusch is the proud son of Harold and Olivia Rusch, and the younger brother to Edward, Harold II, Susan, MarySue, Janie, and Sally. Furthermore, he is an uncle to over 45 nephews and nieces, a testament to his close-knit family ties.
As a young boy, Bob discovered his passion for acting while living in Columbus, Georgia, where he began his acting journey at the tender age of twelve. His love for the craft only grew stronger as he continued to hone his skills when he returned to his hometown of Dunkirk before his sophomore year in high school.
As a freshman, Bob attended Wright State University in Ohio, where he pursued his dream of becoming an actor by enrolling in the university's BFA acting program. However, he soon transferred back to New York and graduated from SUNY College at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre.
After completing his formal education, Bob spent five years in Chicago, where he had the opportunity to perform in numerous theatrical productions. This experience not only helped him to refine his acting skills but also led to him obtaining his SAG card.
In 2000, Bob made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he continued to pursue his acting career. However, his passion for producing plays soon took center stage, and in 2004, he founded his own production company, SkyPilot Theatre Company.
In 2006, Bob took SkyPilot to the next level by transforming it into a non-profit corporation, which he served as the former artistic director. Throughout his career, Bob has remained committed to his craft, and his dedication to the world of theatre has earned him a reputation as a talented and innovative producer.
