Brad Lemack is a multifaceted professional with a diverse range of skills and expertise. He is a talent manager, public relations consultant, brand developer, educator, content creator, author, and web series host. Lemack & Company, his Los Angeles-based talent management and public relations firm, has been in operation since 1982.
Lemack's career in the entertainment industry began with a stint as a publicity executive at Norman Lear's TV production company, where he specialized in series television, syndicated television, film, and special project publicity. Prior to this, he worked as an innovative television and radio producer and broadcaster in his hometown of Boston.
Lemack has a passion for developing and branding new and emerging talent, as well as rebranding and growing the careers of established actors. His company, Lemack & Company, has established itself as a leading talent management and public relations firm, offering services in entertainment, personality and book publicity, business, corporate and non-profit, special event creation, production, and promotion, and career/brand development, marketing, and career coaching for actors.
In addition to his work at Lemack & Company, Lemack is a member of the faculty at Boston's Emerson College Los Angeles campus, where he has been teaching courses in the business of acting, entertainment public relations, and an academic section of the College's acclaimed industry internship program since 1995.
Lemack has received several awards for his work, including the 2019 Faculty Award from Emerson College Affiliated Faculty/American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and the 2022 Alan L. Stanzler Award for Excellence in Teaching from Emerson College.
He has also taught at Elon University, where he created and taught a course in entertainment PR and celebrity crisis management, and has served as a Los Angeles academic internship supervisor, guiding and mentoring students through their industry internship experiences.
Lemack has written four popular books for actors and other industry artists and content creators, including "The Business of Acting: Learn the Skills You Need to Build the Career You Want," "The New Business of Acting: How to Build a Career in a Changing Landscape," "The New Business of Acting: The Next Edition," and "COVID Update," a supplement to "The New Business of Acting: The Next Edition," which explores the impact of the pandemic on the industry and guides actors in how to create and navigate a COVID-proof action plan for getting back on their career journeys.
He has also hosted and produced the YouTube web series "Inside the Business of Acting," a companion project to his books.
