Brad Pitt's Early Career
As a child actor, Brad Pitt began his career in 1967 and continued until 1988. During this time, he accumulated a vast array of credits, including seven feature films, two TV series, seven pilots, numerous TV movies, and over 100 commercials. Some of his notable credits include:
* Red Dawn (1984),a film directed by John Milius
* "On Golden Pond", a stage production at the Ahmanson Theater
* The Tony Randall Show (1976),a TV series where he played a regular role for two seasons
* "Del Monte Gel Cup", a commercial directed by Francis Ford Coppola
Education and Music
Brad attended California State University, Northridge (CSUN),where he was the lead singer of the band "Fashion Risk". He later played bass and sang for the power rock trio "Big Boy Combo", releasing music on Aerial Flipout Records. He also worked as a runner on the TV show ALF (1986) and as a post-production coordinator for Patchett Kaufman Entertainment, before freelancing on several made-for-television movies.
Career in Film Editing
Brad became interested in film editing and saw it as a more stable career option as he started a family. He began working in motion picture marketing in April 1992, starting at the in-house trailer department at Universal Pictures, where he edited trailers and TV spots.
Boutique Trailer/Post-Production Company
From 1999 to 2005, Brad owned a boutique trailer/post-production company called "Flashframe" with partner David Friedman in Hollywood. They created advertising materials for major studios and independent film companies, as well as main title sequences for film and television.
Marketing and Production Company
After producing A/V materials for BLT, a top movie marketing firm in Hollywood, Brad returned to Universal as a VP in the in-house trailer department. In 2011, he co-founded production company "Bandwagon Media", which creates and produces all forms of content, including film, TV, marketing, and digital. Brad also co-owns and operates "The Woodshed Studios" in North Hollywood, California.
Music and Celebrity Bands
In his free time, Brad plays bass guitar and sings in the celebrity cover bands "Band From TV" and "The Action Figures".
