Brandon Alan Heitkamp, born on April 29, 1985, in Aurora, Colorado, is a multifaceted individual with a passion for the arts. As the oldest child of Alan W. Heitkamp, a salesman and regional sales manager, and Trish Heitkamp, an administrative assistant and photographer, Brandon's upbringing in North Dakota instilled in him a sense of creativity and imagination.
Growing up in a blue-collar state, Brandon was often lost in his own daydreams and storytelling. He joined theater as a teenager and immersed himself in the arts, eventually transferring to MSU Moorhead, where he majored in theater. During his time at MSU Moorhead, Brandon was involved in every production, either on stage or behind the scenes.
In 2007, Brandon left MSU Moorhead and moved to Los Angeles, where he faced significant financial challenges. He initially struggled to afford anything beyond his bills and relied on a friend to cook dinner for him in exchange for food. For the first eight months, Brandon would eat only once a day, unless his friend decided to go out to eat.
Despite these difficulties, Brandon persevered and continued to pursue his passion for acting. He auditioned for local theater projects and eventually landed his first feature film through Facebook. This marked a turning point in his career, as he began to work with Choice Skinner and the Breakin Through Acting Workshop.
Skinner's guidance and mentorship instilled confidence in Brandon, allowing him to take on multiple roles as an actor and producer in various films. His breakthrough films include Valley of Bones (2017),Bad Frank (2017),Dirty Dead Con Men (2017),and Oxenfree (2016).
Throughout his journey, Brandon has remained committed to his craft, always seeking new opportunities and challenges. His story serves as a testament to the power of perseverance, creativity, and the importance of following one's dreams.
