Brandon Sklenar was born and raised in the northern regions of New Jersey, where he was surrounded by a strong influence of craftsmanship, courtesy of his father, a skilled carpenter, and his mother, a talented hairdresser. This unique blend of creative energies instilled in him a deep passion for both the worlds of film and music from a very young age.
As he grew older, Brandon's passion for storytelling and performance only intensified, leading him to pursue a career as an actor and filmmaker. His early career saw him collaborate with renowned international director Amir Naderi on the film Magic Lantern, and he also landed a supporting role in the highly acclaimed biopic VICE, alongside an impressive cast of Academy Award winners, including Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Sam Rockwell, and Adam McKay.
In 2018, Brandon starred opposite Matt Smith in the film Mapplethorpe, a biographical drama that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and delves into the life and death of controversial photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.
In 2019, Brandon continued to demonstrate his versatility as a performer by taking on lead roles in three feature films. He played the role of Deke Jones, a Texas moonshiner, in the dark comedy Jonesin', and starred alongside Rosie Day in Jaclyn Bethany's relationship drama Indigo Valley, where he portrayed a concert violinist. Additionally, he appeared in the western London Calling, opposite Nick Braun and Ron Perlman, and played the role of Junior Lawford, a West Virginia oil man.
Furthermore, Brandon took on the role of George Gay, a real-life Torpedo Bomber and World War 2 hero, in Roland Emmerich's upcoming epic war film Midway, solidifying his reputation as a talented and dedicated actor.
