Biography

Brett's formative years were spent in the affluent suburb of Bethesda, Maryland, where he distinguished himself as a multi-talented athlete, excelling in not one, not two, but three Varsity sports: the physically demanding discipline of Football, the fast-paced, high-flying spectacle of Volleyball, and the grueling, strength-based art of Wrestling.

In addition to his impressive athletic prowess, Brett also developed a passion for music, which would eventually lead him to pick up the drums and form a punk rock band with his brother Ryan, aptly named The Disco Shivas. This fledgling musical endeavor saw the brothers take to the stage at a local Maryland dive bar, where they endeavored to entertain a crowd of eager onlookers. Alas, their efforts were met with a disheartening lack of audience, with not a single patron present to witness their energetic performance.

Brett's journey in the entertainment industry commenced with a foray into the world of modeling, a venture that began when he was just eleven years old, during a Model Search America Expo, where he confidently strutted down the catwalk, showcasing his charisma and poise. His impressive performance caught the attention of several agencies in the mid-Atlantic region, who subsequently extended invitations for him to return for further consideration.

As fate would have it, Brett's early success led to him signing with a local talent agency, marking the beginning of his professional career. His talent and versatility soon saw him branching out into various mediums, including print, radio, and promotional videos, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the industry.

Brett's journey in the world of theatre began at the tender age of fourteen, when he landed his very first significant opportunity, successfully auditioning for the role of a singing flower peddler in a revival of William Wycherley's timeless masterpiece, 'The Country Wife', at the esteemed Shakespeare Theatre in Washington DC.

Despite his initial attempt to sing the national anthem not quite meeting the mark, Brett's enthusiasm and eagerness to learn impressed the director, ultimately leading to his being cast in a non-singing role. This formative experience not only ignited a passion within him for the theatre, but also instilled a deep appreciation for its unique and complex characters.
