Brian Leckner is an American actor, born on January 2nd, 1967, in Pasadena, California. Raised in Hermosa Beach, California, he attended Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California. Brian's acting training is rooted in the Joanne Baron/DW Brown Studio, where he studied the Meisner Technique for two years, an experience he credits with shaping his career.
In 1991, Brian met acting teacher Larry Moss, which marked a significant turning point in his career. He landed the lead role in a revival of the classic television series "Bonanza," playing the bastard son of Hoss Cartwright. This experience allowed him to act alongside legendary actors such as Ben Johnson, Jack Elam, Richard Roundtree, and Leonard Nimoy. By the age of 24, Brian had starred in several Bonanza TV movies for NBC, but his dream role was yet to come.
Brian's next major project was the film adaptation of the iconic TV show "Sgt. Bilko," produced by Imagine/Universal. The film featured an all-star cast, including Steve Martin, Dan Ackroyd, and the late Phil Hartman. Brian played Sam Fender, a main member of Bilko's platoon. Working with these comedy legends was a childhood dream come true, and he formed a lasting friendship with Phil Hartman, sharing fun times on Catalina Island and sport fishing trips to Baja California.
Throughout his career, Brian has appeared in numerous commercials and episodic television shows, including "Seinfeld," "House," "The X-Files," "Charmed," "The Mentalist," "Knight Rider," "E.R.," and "L.A. Firefighters." During his summer hiatus, Brian can often be found in the Mongolian countryside, his wife's homeland, which has become his favorite place to relax.
