Brian McGinn is a multifaceted creative professional based in Los Angeles, with a diverse portfolio that spans film and television directing, writing, and producing.
Together with David Gelb, McGinn co-developed the groundbreaking documentary series Chef's Table for television, which revolutionized the way documentary TV is made and is now the longest-running program on Netflix. Since its launch in 2015, McGinn has been instrumental in casting and executive producing each season, directing nine episodes in the process. His work on Chef's Table has earned him three Primetime Emmy nominations and five James Beard Awards.
In 2019, McGinn co-created the Netflix series Street Food, which has celebrated the casual food culture of Asia, Latin America, and the United States across its three seasons.
As a writer, producer, and director, McGinn is also known for his critically acclaimed documentary Amanda Knox, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2016 and received multiple Primetime Emmy nominations, including Best Documentary and Best Writing for Non-Fiction.
