Brian Trueman's illustrious career in the entertainment industry spanned over four decades, with a remarkable journey that began in BBC radio. He first made his mark as a semi-regular cast member in the popular situation comedy 'The Clitheroe Kid', initially appearing in two broadcasts during the 1957 pilot series and continuing to make appearances until the 16th series in 1972.
Trueman's role in the show evolved from one-off appearances to a recurring character, playing the part of Liverpudlian neighbour Harry Whittle, a role he held for seven years from 1965. Additionally, he took on the role of the show's announcer during its final years on the air.
With over 20 years of experience in radio acting, Trueman transitioned to television in 1976, specializing in voice acting and character parts. He spent most of his television career in children's television, lending his voice to various cartoons.
