Luke Bugden, a semi-retired professional wrestler from New Zealand, had a remarkable career spanning over five decades. He initially debuted in his native country in 1964 and later formed a tag team with Butch Miller in 1965. This partnership would take them to various promotions around the world, including Stampede Wrestling, World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Continental Wrestling Association, numerous NWA territories, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and others.
Throughout their journey, Bugden and Miller worked as violent foreign heels, engaging in numerous bloody brawls. However, they made a significant transition in late 1988 when they joined the WWE as the Bushwhackers, working as faces for the first time in their careers. They continued to compete for WWE until 1996 before venturing into the independent circuit. The duo eventually parted ways in 2001, with Miller retiring that same year.
During their illustrious in-ring career, Bugden and Miller accumulated an impressive array of accolades. They were two-time Stampede Wrestling International Tag Team Champions, three-time NWA PNW (Pacific Northwest) Tag Team Champions, one-time NWA Florida Tag Team Champions, two-time WWC World Tag Team Champions, and two-time UWF World Tag Team Champions. Their achievements were recognized by the WWE, which inducted them into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
