Brit MacRae, a talented actor and co-founder of the esteemed film company KINO Studio, backed by Sequoia, has had a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry.
At the tender age of 15, Brit set her sights on the entertainment industry and took a bold step by moving out on her own to attend the prestigious Etobicoke School of the Arts, where she majored in Theatre and honed her skills through Conservatory Canada's Classical Voice program.
In 2018, Brit made her mark in the sci-fi thriller "The Eden Theory," sharing the screen with renowned actors Jeffrey Weissman and Carel Struycken. Her big break came in 2021 when she landed the role of "Jessica Hicks," a series regular in the highly-acclaimed television series "Departure" (Peacock/Global),opposite Emmy Award-Winning Archie Panjabi and the late Christopher Plummer. Since then, Brit has continued to amass a growing number of works in major film and television productions, including "Neon Lights" (Netflix) and "Hudson & Rex" (Citytv),and can also be seen in the upcoming romantic film "Writing a Love Song" and mystery sci-fi series "Hidden Springs" set to release later in 2024.
In addition to her acting career, Brit co-founded KINO, a venture-backed film company with the mission to create greater equitability for artists in the film and television industry, in 2022. KINO has multiple films in various stages of development, from pre-production to post.
Outside of her passion for acting and technology, Brit's many interests include travel, surfing, reading, and boxing.
