Buddhadeb Dasgupta, a celebrated Bengali poet and filmmaker of immense talent and distinction, entered this world on the eleventh day of February, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and unfortunately, his mortal coil was laid to rest on the tenth day of June, two thousand and twenty-one.
