Biography

Byron's odyssey in the realm of cinematic storytelling commenced during his formative years, where he would craft short, spine-tingling horror films alongside his neighborhood companions in Owensboro, Kentucky, thus laying the groundwork for a lifelong fascination with the art of filmmaking.

Byron's unwavering dedication and unrelenting passion for the craft of filmmaking propelled him to engage in a plethora of local productions, embracing every opportunity to hone his skills by assuming various roles, from the often-overlooked but crucial position of production assistant to the pivotal and demanding responsibility of first assistant director.

This extensive hands-on experience, carefully crafted over time, would ultimately blossom into the creation of his feature film, Night, which would subsequently be acquired for worldwide home distribution in the year 2006, a testament to Byron's perseverance and artistic vision.

Noted music video director and filmmaker, Byron, capitalized on the momentum generated by his critically acclaimed work on Night, and subsequently, he made the decision to relocate to the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington. This strategic move enabled him to expand his creative horizons and take on a diverse array of projects, including directing music videos for an assortment of talented bands. Among his notable clients were The Break Up, Legion Within, Cylab, and Endless Sunder, each presenting a unique opportunity for Byron to showcase his exceptional skillset and artistic vision. In addition to his work in the music video realm, Byron also demonstrated his versatility as a filmmaker by directing the short film Phantom Theater. This ambitious project allowed him to push the boundaries of his craft, experimenting with innovative storytelling techniques and visually striking imagery.

Byron's multifaceted creative endeavors extended far beyond his impressive portfolio of music videos and short films, as he also had the distinction of being a valued member of the Industrial band GOD MODULE for an impressive eight-year tenure.

Throughout his time with the band, Byron infused his singular style into their live performances, captivating audiences at esteemed venues worldwide and conceptualizing all visual elements for their video productions.

Byron's creative endeavors reached unprecedented levels in 2015, as he successfully navigated the realms of both filmmaking and music performance. As the lead vocalist and lyricist of the electrifying Shock Rock band Ghosts in the Graveyard, he poured his heart and soul into the stage, premiering their inaugural single and music video "Better in Black" in September, a momentous occasion that marked the beginning of a new chapter in the band's trajectory.

The band's captivating live performance on Halloween, a night when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest, left a lasting impression on audiences, and was swiftly followed by the worldwide release of Byron's second feature film, The Anatomy of Monsters, a deeply personal and unflinching exploration of the darkest impulses of the human psyche, which debuted in December, offering a piercing gaze into the very depths of human nature.

Byron, a talented and ambitious individual, has recently solidified his position as a sought-after director in the film industry by signing on to helm not one, but two original horror movies that are currently in active development with the renowned production company, Johnny Sullivan/Blackout Films, based in the heart of Hollywood, California.
