Cameron Andres, a young and multifaceted individual, has been pursuing his passion for the performing arts from a tender age. His remarkable journey began with his debut as a boy soprano in the esteemed Vancouver Opera Company's production of La Bohème. This initial foray into the world of opera was soon followed by his portrayal of the Shepherd Boy in Tosca, cementing his status as a rising star in the Vancouver opera scene.
As he continued to hone his craft, Cameron made his professional musical theatre debut at the tender age of 11, taking on the iconic role of Gavroche in the Arts Club's production of Les Misérables at the Stanley Theatre. This performance earned him widespread critical acclaim, with reviewers praising his "talent and personality to spare." He went on to receive the prestigious Ovation Award for Best Young Actor for his outstanding performance in Les Misérables, and later for his role in A Christmas Story: the Musical.
Cameron's remarkable talent and dedication have allowed him to maintain a busy schedule, juggling commitments to stage, screen, and musical studies. He is a skilled violinist, pianist, and vocalist, and is currently pursuing a medical degree at the University of British Columbia, where he was accepted at the remarkable age of 14. In addition to his academic pursuits, Cameron is an avid gymnast and continues to perform in various capacities.
Beyond his artistic endeavors, Cameron is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He volunteers with several local charities and has a special affinity for supporting the BC Children's Hospital.
