Camilla Overbye Roos, a multifaceted and accomplished individual, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and grew up in a family with a rich cinematic heritage spanning three generations of filmmakers. From a young age, she spent most of her childhood at a film studio in Copenhagen, where she developed a keen interest and fascination with the art of filmmaking.
As a child, Camilla worked in various roles behind the camera, as well as taking on acting roles, making her screen debut at the tender age of three. Throughout her life, she has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most renowned directors in the industry, including Lars von Trier, David Lynch, Ridley Scott, and James Cameron.
In addition to her work in the film industry, Camilla has also pursued a passion for performance, joining a traveling circus at the age of 14, where she honed her skills as a knife thrower for a year. Her remarkable talent and achievements earned her a place on the cover of Life Magazine in 1993, making her the first Dane to achieve this feat.
In the year 2000, Camilla took the bold step of establishing her own production company, Kraka Productions, which was inspired by a Viking myth. Under this banner, she has gone on to produce and direct a range of documentaries for esteemed networks such as the BBC, Arté, USA Network, and TV2.
