Carl Rousseau Gilliard is a multifaceted individual with a plethora of accomplishments in the entertainment industry. As the President/CEO of the Gilliard Media Group, LLC, he provides a range of services including consulting, casting, media content creation, publishing, coaching, and entertainment production. His wife, Latonya Gilliard, serves as the Vice President of Operations.
Gilliard is also the Co-Creator of the Bill Duke Media Foundation's Youth Media Camp, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing new media arts and financial literacy training to inner-city youth in South Los Angeles, California.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Gilliard hails from Detroit, Michigan, and has a background in acting. He has appeared in numerous television and film roles, which has enabled him to hone his skills in networking and forming relationships within the industry.
Gilliard's film credits include Inception, Red Eye, Coach Carter, the upcoming Naked Gun remake, and the independent drama Keyz. His television credits include Shameless, Greys Anatomy, Amazon's The Last Tycoon, Bigger, and FBI: Most Wanted. He is currently recurring on the hit action/drama The Family Business, which is streaming on Netflix and BET+.
In addition to his work on screen, Gilliard is the Creator, Writer, Executive Producer, and Star of the digital series Two Degrees, which is now streaming on The BrickTV. He has also appeared in dozens of stage and theater productions.
Gilliard is an accomplished Producer and Director, with several NAACP Theater Award nominations to his name. He produced and directed several productions, including Section 8, Power Couple Struggle, Peace Be Still, and Ain't No Family Like The One I Got, in Los Angeles. He also co-produced and developed the successful Things That Make Men Cry and Steel Magnolias, the latter with the FCBC Repertory Company.
Gilliard resides in Atlanta with his wife and business partner, Latonya Gilliard, and their children, Corinne, Colin, Raven, Joshua, and Jordan.
