Carlos Lacamara, a multifaceted individual, was born on November 11, 1958, in the vibrant city of Havana, Cuba. At the tender age of two, he and his parents, Adria and Carlos Sr., made the bold decision to flee their homeland amidst the tumultuous Cuban Revolution. This marked the beginning of their journey, which would take them to various parts of the world, including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and ultimately, California, where Carlos currently resides.
Carlos's educational pursuits led him to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where he earned his degree. He then embarked on an acting career, initially focusing on looping jobs, which involved providing voiceovers for films such as Big, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, Jurassic Park, and Team America: World Police, among others. This experience served as a springboard for his subsequent appearances on television shows like Family Ties, T.J. Hooker, and Cosby, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
In 1991, Carlos landed a regular role on the television series Nurses, playing the character Paco Ortiz. When the show was unfortunately canceled in 1994, he continued to secure small roles on popular shows like Friends and in films such as Independence Day. In the year 2000, he secured another significant role on The Brothers Garcia, portraying Ray Garcia, the patriarch of the Garcia family. Throughout his career, Carlos has continued to take on various roles, both big and small, and is currently living with his loving wife, Carol, and their two sons, Lucas and Diego.
