Silver King, the son of the renowned luchadore wrestler Dr. Wagner, has been a professional wrestler since 1985. Initially, he wrestled in the Universal Wrestling Association under a mask, but lost it in a match against the legendary El Santo. He then formed a tag team with El Texano, known as "The Cowboys," and the duo even competed at WCW's Clash of the Champions XIX in 1992.
Together, they moved to the CMLL federation, where they won the tag team titles before Silver King went on to win the CMLL Heavyweight Championship from Black Magic, a persona of Norman Smiley, all while wrestling under a mask.
In 1997, King made the transition to WCW, where Eric Bischoff was actively featuring high-flying Mexican wrestlers on his shows. He participated in numerous Monday Nitro and WCW Saturday Night broadcasts, as well as several pay-per-view events, such as Souled Out '98 and both World War 3 '97 and '98, featuring a 60-man, over-the-top-rope battle royale. His most prominent match, however, took place at Fall Brawl '98, where he wrestled for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against champion 'Juventud Guerrera.'
Unfortunately, King left WCW in late 1999, following Eric Bischoff's ousting from leadership and the takeover of new management.
