Chad Michael Murray, a 6-foot tall model-turned-actor, has been captivating audiences for two decades. Born in Buffalo, New York, he was raised by his father Rex Murray, an air traffic controller, after his left mother the family when Chad was young. He and his brother took on the responsibility of caring for their younger siblings.
Starting his career as a paper boy, Chad later worked as a janitor and receptionist before being inspired by a nurse to pursue acting after a broken nose hospitalization. He met Eddie Winkler at a convention, who offered him a place to stay in Los Angeles, and soon landed a Tommy Hilfiger campaign.
Chad began his acting career on Dawson's Creek, followed by roles on Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill, where he met lifelong friends James Lafferty and Tyler Hilton. He also starred in the horror film House of Wax.
In addition to his acting career, Chad has written his first graphic novel, "Everlast", and has organized charity games to benefit underprivileged communities. He is a fan of philosophy, music, and TV shows, and has credited several movies as his favorites.
Chad has been married twice, first to Sophia Bush, then to Sarah Roemer, with whom he has three children.
