Charlie originates from the quaint and captivating town of Chagrin Falls, situated in the state of Ohio, where his academic aspirations initially took root at Denison University.
Four years later, in 1983, he proudly earned his degree in Economics, marking the culmination of his undergraduate studies.
However, his fervent enthusiasm for the performing arts eventually compelled him to make a courageous decision, ultimately leading him to relocate to the vibrant city of Chicago.
In the vibrant metropolis of Chicago, Charlie embarked upon a transformative journey, ultimately finding his true vocation as a talented performer within the hallowed halls of the illustrious "Second City" comedy theater. Over the course of six prosperous years, he diligently refined his skills as an actor and director, gradually ascending the ranks to assume a pivotal role within the esteemed National Touring Company.
As Charlie's acting career continued to flourish, he simultaneously began to cultivate his executive abilities, taking on a leadership role with Second City Communication, a development that would later prove to be a valuable springboard for his subsequent transition to the other side of the camera, where he would assume the role of Executive Producer and Co-President at Carousel Productions.
